ONLINE MASTERING
Mastering is the final stage of the song before publishing. The purpose of mastering is to prepare the song for publishing on certain platforms, therefore the master should correspond to the loudness levels of that platform (i.e. YouTube, Spotify, CD, Tape, etc.). Mastering may involve, but not necessarily, minimal adjustment moves such as compression, equalization, adding saturation or dithering etc. Please enclose within your email request the desired platform on which your music should be prevalently published. If a loud master is your preference, please feel free to express that within your request, but be aware that most platforms will incur limiting to tracks that surpass their threshold. This can be discussed in a meeting.
(In-the-box using cutting edge plugins)
$50 per track mix (including the additional versions and supplementary ordered versions)
(With analogue processing on master bus)
+$30 per track mix (including the additional versions and supplementary ordered versions)
CORRECTIVE TECHNIQUES
The corrective techniques refer to any action related to superficial change of a recorded audio track. This is done for the sake of improving the rhythmic aspect of the track or to correct intonation in certain cases, etc. The pricing of corrective techniques refer to the entire mix and all additionally ordered samples. Please note that similar approaches will not be necessary in every case. For example, dynamic EQs are surgical methods that are exclusive to certain problems that cannot be easily solved with conventional EQs. Therefore, due to the inability to send the material for recording, one resorts to similar methods to fix an issue that is of a particular nature. If such issues exist within the mix, this will be discussed in a meeting.
Drum sample replacement: $30 per track mix
Drum/Guitar time quantization: $40 per track mix
Vocal pitch correction: $50 per track mix
Noise suppression/gating: $20 per track mix
Dynamic Equalization / Multiband compression: $30 per track mix
Other services can be negotiated, depending on your case. Please enclose your desired features within the email request. If there are any questions regarding the aforementioned, please do not hesitate to ask.
ENHANCEMENT TECHNIQUES
Under enhancement, we understand applying methodologies, tools and combination of assets to improve the overall sound quality, 3D perception, harmonic richness and contextual representation. These are not necessary until certain sound is desired. This may depend on the genre on the music but also the imagined end result (loud, aggressive, soft, subtle mix, etc.). Services involved in this category are as follows:
Parallel compression: $20 per track mix
Side-chain compression (usually between bass guitar and bass drum): $20 per track mix
Stereoscopic image enhancement: $30 per track mix
Rear buss on the entire mix: $30 per track mix
PAYMENTS
The recorded material is sent for mixing and mastering and when it's finished, you will receive it with an added signal in between verses or at random times. Once the payment is fulfilled, the signals will be removed, leaving you with your clean processed tracks.
SUBMITTING TRACKS
You will be provided a remote cloud folder to submit the tracks (either through Google Drive or Mega). Please have the tracks structured by name of instrument and all relevant details around it. The format should be .WAV uncompressed audio and preferrably in 24-bit, 96KHz. Although, you can submit also 48KHz tracks. This is solely dependent on your recording engineer and how the tracks are recorded. It is expected that the tracks will be put through proper gain staging during the recording process. If some tracks are clipping, this will be difficult to address and distortion artifacts will remain present at the end.
